Process of creating a logo for a newly launched product

  • Role: Visual designer on a team of 4
  • Tools used: Figma, Lucidchart
  • Duration: May 2023 - June 2023

Research and Ideation

Our design process began with extensive market research and competitor analysis to understand current trends and identify opportunities for differentiation. We conducted stakeholder interviews and brand workshops to define the core values and personality that the logo needed to convey. Initial ideation involved rapid sketching sessions and mood boarding to explore various visual directions while keeping the product's target audience in mind.

Synthesis and Iteration

Based on our research findings and initial sketches, we began synthesizing the key elements that resonated most with our target audience. We focused on combining modern aesthetics with elements that conveyed trust and innovation. Through multiple iteration cycles, we refined our designs, paying careful attention to spacing, proportions, and visual harmony.

Digital mockups and dot voting

After refining our initial concepts, we created high-fidelity digital mockups of the most promising logo designs. These mockups were presented to stakeholders and team members for feedback through a dot voting exercise, where participants could vote on their preferred designs and provide specific comments.

The dot voting session helped us identify the strongest elements from different designs and revealed clear preferences among our target audience. This feedback was crucial in guiding our final iterations and ensuring the logo would resonate with its intended users.

Final Product

After multiple iterations and feedback sessions, we finalized the logo design that best represented the product's values and vision. The chosen design combines simplicity, memorability, and versatility while maintaining strong brand recognition.

Final logo design

The final logo was delivered in multiple formats and color variations to ensure consistent application across different platforms and use cases.
